Charming old florida oasis... Positive: Beautiful patio and pool area, and on the river, so enchanting!

AWESOME Place! Caught fish off the dock and its very close to everything.

We can definitely not recommend staying at this property.It was one of the worst experiences of all our stays that we contracted through VRBO.We had lots of rats around the house during the entirety of our stay and had to cleanup their poop on the terraces and beach chairs everyday. One night the rats managed to come inside the house. A window panel of one of the terrace doors hadn’t been installed. One night the rats managed to get in and were in the bedroom and living room and even on the kitchen counter. So we had to throw away a lot of food and clean and disinfect the rooms. When we raised these issues with the management company, they said they had never issues with rats at this property. It’s hard to believe given the location right next to the river and the amount of debris in the basement.The house has a lot of maintenance issues and is quite run down. You should definitely not stay there if you have a dust allergy.Overall, it’s not very clean. The chairs and carpets were outright filthy.We had to raise so many maintenance issues with the management company. They did send a maintenance person to fix broken door knobs, broken dishwasher, etc.The maintenance person was there about six times and we had to coordinate their work.The management gave us a 10% rebate.We come every year to this area. There are many nice and well maintained properties there. This isn’t one of them.
